One of this country's pre-eminent stained glass artists now has his studio in southeastern Oklahoma Green has been creating stained glass designs for churches, homes and businesses for 25 years. “Although most of my work is used in churches, I have also worked with museums, libraries, shopping malls, and restaurants,” Green says. Green said he “lucked into” a career in stained glass while a student at the School of the Ozarks at Point Lookout, near Branson. “Someone left some stained glass and no one knew what to do with it,” so Green began to study and work with it. He went on to study commercial and fine art at Oral Roberts University where he focused on art in churches, and at Oklahoma State University where he earned degrees in art education and business in arts. Green has created stained glass windows for 10 churches in Enid, Oklahoma. He restored “one-of-a-kind” windows in the Champlin Mansion built by Champlin Oil founder Joe Champlin and the American Standard Building, both also in Enid.
